Mount Vernon Middle School and High School golf programs have announced their 2025 season qualifier dates, with tee times beginning Monday, July 28 at Vernon View Golf Course.
According to the announcement, middle school students entering 7th and 8th grade will begin qualifiers with 9-hole rounds and practice sessions on July 28 and 29 at 7:45 a.m., followed by a meeting and practice on July 30 at 9 a.m. High school golfers in grades 9 through 12 will tee off at 6:50 a.m. on both July 28 (36 holes) and July 29 (18 holes), with a final team meeting set for July 30 at 9 a.m.
All players are required to have a current sports physical on file with the school prior to July 31. Attendance at all qualifier rounds is mandatory. There is no cost to participate. Golfers must wear proper attire—collared shirts, tucked in, and no athletic shorts—and should bring their own equipment including clubs, balls, tees, and ball markers. Players should also arrive early to warm up at the course.
Head Coach TT Crouch emphasized the program’s expectation: "student-athletes are making a commitment to attend all practices and team functions throughout the season—and to arrive on time." For more information, contact the respective middle or high school coaches listed on the team’s summer flyer.
