The Knox County Board of Elections is set to host a Candidate Academy on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Early Vote Center located at 104 E Sugar St., Mount Vernon, Ohio.
This fall's ballot will include positions for Township Trustees, City and Village Council Members, School Board Members, and Knox County Educational Service Center Members. The academy is open to anyone interested in running for office, including current office holders and prospective candidates. Attendees will receive information about the election process, deadlines, and petition requirements.
Board of Elections staff will be available to answer questions during the event. The deadline for submitting petitions is August 6, 2025, by 4 p.m. The General Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
