Blues, Brews, & BBQ is back for its second sizzling year in Downtown Mount Vernon, Ohio, promising a full day of food, fun, and fantastic music this Saturday, June 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Presented by Knox Foodies, LLC, this free, family-friendly festival brings together some of Central Ohio’s top blues acts and barbecue talent for a summer celebration that’s fast becoming a local favorite. Music lovers can catch live performances all afternoon on the Bickerdyke Beer Stage, sponsored by Bickerdyke Table & Tap.

This year’s blues lineup includes a variety of acclaimed artists and bands. Cigar Box Scott kicks off the music from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by The Shaun Booker Dam-mit Band from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Blue Spectrum takes the stage from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., and Rixk Collura's MoJo Blues Band closes out the festival from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.

In between sets, festivalgoers can indulge in mouthwatering barbecue dishes crafted by expert pitmasters from across the state. From ribs to brisket, pulled pork to chicken, there’s something for every BBQ lover. Mount Vernon’s DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) will also be in full swing, with local downtown establishments serving up cold brews and cocktails to enjoy throughout the event area.

Adding a competitive edge to the festivities, the event will feature a BBQ cook-off with awards for Best Pulled Pork, Best Chicken, Best Brisket, Best Ribs, and the always popular People’s Choice.

Whether you’re a foodie, a music enthusiast, or just looking for a great way to spend your Saturday, Blues, Brews, & BBQ offers a delicious slice of summer fun in the heart of Mount Vernon.
