The Mount Vernon Arts Consortium has announced an event featuring Jay Leno, scheduled for Saturday, August 23, in partnership with the Knox Memorial.
According to the Mount Vernon Arts Consortium, "An Evening with Jay Leno" will take place at the Knox Memorial venue in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The event will open its doors at 7 p.m., with the show beginning at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $49 to $119, and sales began on May 30. This event is part of Knox Memorial’s 100th Anniversary season and is sponsored by Ariel Corporation and Park National Bank.
Leno, known for hosting "The Tonight Show" for two decades, will deliver a comedy performance featuring his signature humor and storytelling. His career spans work as a stand-up comedian, children’s book author, corporate speaker, voice actor, and automotive enthusiast. He currently produces and hosts "Jay Leno’s Garage" on CNBC. The series is in its seventh season and highlights cars and their owners. It has received several Emmy nominations and awards.
In addition to his television work, Leno hosts the syndicated comedy game show "You Bet Your Life," co-hosted with longtime Tonight Show bandleader Kevin Eubanks. He tours widely with more than 100 stand-up shows each year both nationally and internationally. His honors include Emmy Awards, People’s Choice Awards, TV Guide Awards, the Mark Twain Prize, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Leno resides in Los Angeles with his wife Mavis who is involved in human rights activism.
