East Elementary students and parents should get ready for an exciting summer of books, fun, and friendly competition with "Revenge of the Readers."

Revenge of the Readers | East Elementary School

Students in grades K-5 can take part in this engaging summer reading program by tracking their reading progress in their reading logs. The more they read, the bigger the rewards.

Participants will earn bronze, silver, or gold medals based on the number of books and pages they complete. But that’s not all—students who reach certain reading milestones will unlock hilarious and interactive prizes, including: throwing a pie in a teacher’s face, silly stringing their teacher and dunking their teacher in a dunk tank.

This program encourages young readers to develop a love for books while adding an element of fun and motivation throughout the summer break. East Elementary's last day of school is on Thursday, May 29.

Visit the website to download the summer reading log and start tracking the reading progress.

East Elementary School is part of the Mount Vernon City Schools District.
