The Knox County Chamber of Commerce has announced plans to host four ribbon-cutting events aimed at highlighting local businesses and community spaces that contribute to the region's development.
According to the Chamber, the public is invited to attend these events, which will begin on May 30 at Rosie’s Rest Stop in Centerburg. Located at 108 North Hartford Avenue near the Heart of Ohio Trail, this event will welcome owner Maddie Himes with lunch and hospitality from 12 to 1 p.m.
On June 3, Crickets on South Main will celebrate its new location at 316 South Main Street in downtown Mount Vernon. The store, which has been operating since 2017, offers a variety of antiques and vintage items such as furniture, jewelry, and artwork. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled from 12 to 1 p.m., encouraging visitors to shop locally.
Knox Community Hospital will mark the grand opening of the KCH Northside Pharmacy on June 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. at 749 North Sandusky Street, Suite A, Mount Vernon. This addition brings a third pharmacy location staffed by local pharmacists.
On June 28 from 10 to 11 a.m., the Brown Family Environmental Center, Philander Chase Conservancy, and Knox County Park District will host the opening of the BFEC North Trail System at 17852 Yauger Road, Mount Vernon. The event will feature guided hikes and family-friendly activities celebrating the new green space.
The Knox County Chamber of Commerce was established in 1916 and has served Central Ohio for over a century by supporting local businesses through various programs like Chamber Ambassadors and Leadership Knox. It also organizes events such as an annual March dinner and Spring Swing Golf Outing for networking and professional development. The Chamber's office is located in the historic CA&C Depot in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
