Lemaster’s 14 Ks power Centerburg to victory

Lemaster strikes out 14 as Centerburg rolls past East Knox | Centerburg Trojans Baseball/FB

Daniel Lemaster delivered a commanding performance on the mound Thursday, striking out 14 and leading Centerburg to a 6–1 victory over East Knox.

According to the game summary, the senior right-hander scattered four hits and allowed just one run over seven innings, issuing three walks in the complete-game win. East Knox initially took the lead in the opening inning when Cash Cook singled home a run. However, Centerburg responded in the fourth inning with Clarke Redd’s RBI single, giving the Trojans a 2–1 lead that they maintained for the rest of the game.

Colton Kidwell took the loss for East Knox, allowing six runs on 12 hits over six innings. He struck out four and walked three. Centerburg’s offense was led by Redd, Jonah Gribben, and Gabe Campos, each contributing two hits. Redd and Ryan Long both drove in two runs. The Trojans were aggressive on the bases, recording nine stolen bases, with Gribben and Aiden Trobridge swiping multiple bases each.

Defensively, Centerburg played error-free baseball. Mason Vallance anchored their defense with a team-high 14 chances.

Cook finished 1-for-3 with an RBI for East Knox Bulldogs. Wyatt Denuit, Zayne Grennell, and Jaxon Lester also collected hits. East Knox played clean defensively as well, with Caden Ridenour recording five plays.

Centerburg is scheduled to travel to Bexley on Saturday for its next matchup.
