Utica High School held its masquerade prom on May 3 at Elks Lodge, where juniors and seniors alike spent an evening celebrating the end of the school year— and for the seniors, the end of their high school journey, signifying the start of college, employment, or enlistment.
While everyone who attended was granted a special and memorable night, two attendees took home titles they will always remember: Prom King and Prom Queen. The winners, however, were not the only people who arrived with tiaras adorning their heads.
The boys nominated to prom royalty were Hayden Piper, Riley Baker, Breyden Hill, and Andrew Lewis, and the corresponding girls were Abby Dickson, Madison Cossin, Aireonna Shock, and Jayden Rauch.
Final votes were tallied late afternoon on Friday, May 2, and about halfway through the dance, the winners were announced: Andrew Lewis and Aireonna Shock were crowned Utica’s 2025 Prom King and Queen.
The festivities continued long after the music stopped, as Stacey Lambert and some other junior class parents arranged an after-prom event at Altitude Trampoline Park in Heath.
All students who attended received a raffle ticket for a chance to earn prizes. The grand prize was a pair of Beats Earbuds, while more than thirty students won additional prizes, including high-quality water bottles, gift cards, and other exciting presents.
C&E Pizza Factory donated more than twenty boxes of pizza to feed hungry prom goers at this event—a gesture that was much appreciated by all attendees.
Between the dance itself and the after-prom, it is safe to say that this dance will be one to remember. Congratulations, Andrew Lewis and Aireonna Shock!
