The Northridge Local Schools Board of Education is set to convene in a special session on May 12, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. to vote on the appointment of Mr. Brian Blum as the district's next superintendent. If approved, Mr. Blum will assume the role on August 1, 2025.

Mr. Blum emerged as the leading candidate due to his extensive experience in school leadership and his strong communication skills with stakeholders. His dedication to serving students, staff, and the community was also highlighted as a key factor in his selection.

Board President Evelyn Vance expressed enthusiasm about Mr. Blum's return to Northridge Local Schools, stating, "We are happy to welcome Mr. Blum back to Northridge Local Schools. His familiarity with our community, along with his focus on students and support for staff, made him a strong candidate with the ability to guide us as our next superintendent."

Mr. Blum began his career at Northridge schools as a student teacher and later served as an elementary principal across four districts: London, Westerville, Hilliard, and Dublin City School Districts. He transitioned into district administration in 2017 as Executive Director of Instructional Services at Northridge Local Schools before becoming Superintendent at Van Buren Local Schools in 2020 and then moving to Maysville Local Schools for family reasons.

Mr. Blum holds degrees from Wright State University and Ashland University and completed his superintendent licensure program at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

In anticipation of his new role, Mr. Blum remarked, "It will be a highlight of my career returning to Northridge Local Schools to serve as the next Superintendent."

Mr. Blum plans to be active within the district prior to officially starting on August 1.
