Mount Vernon City Schools recently honored 158 students at the annual Kiwanis Scholastic Recognition Awards Program. The event, held at the Mount Vernon High School Theater, celebrated students for their academic excellence and dedication by awarding them scholarships to aid in their further education. This ceremony was a joint effort with the Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club, emphasizing the district's commitment to student success and recognizing hard work.
Superintendent William Seder Jr. praised the awardees, stating, “These students represent the very best of Mount Vernon. Their accomplishments reflect not only personal dedication but also the support of families, educators, and the entire community.”
