The School-Based Health Center at Mount Vernon High School will remain open throughout the summer, continuing to serve students and their families even when classes are not in session. This valuable resource, a collaboration between Mount Vernon City Schools and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, ensures uninterrupted access to quality health care right on the school campus.
Located near the Career Center Upper Lot inside the high school, the center has become a vital part of the student support system, providing primary care services during the academic year and beyond. From June through August, the clinic will offer a full range of services, including physical exams, sick visits, vaccinations, and general wellness checkups.
Open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the center is staffed by medical professionals who understand the needs of school-age children and teens. The goal is to minimize disruptions to students’ lives while offering convenient and affordable care close to home.
Appointments can be scheduled in advance to help families plan around summer activities. The continued summer operation ensures that students and their siblings can stay healthy and prepared for the upcoming school year, no matter the season.
