The Knox County Republican Party is set to host its annual Lincoln-Reagan Day dinner on May 16 at The Gallagher Centre. The event will feature Vivek Ramaswamy, a candidate for Governor of Ohio, as the keynote speaker. Congressman Troy Balderson and other state and national officials are also expected to attend and deliver remarks.

"We are very pleased to bring Vivek Ramaswamy back to Knox County," said Fred Dailey, Knox County GOP Chairman. Ramaswamy first gained national attention during the 2024 presidential primary, where he placed fourth in the Iowa Caucuses. He later co-chaired an initiative with Elon Musk before deciding to run for Governor. His campaign has received endorsements from President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.

Ramaswamy is an alumnus of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and holds degrees from Harvard and Yale Law School. He founded Roivant Sciences, a biopharmaceutical company, and is known for advocating free speech, capitalism, and American identity. He frequently appears on national news networks discussing free markets, limited government, and individual freedoms.

"Vivek Ramaswamy has a rock-star status among conservatives and leads this race in every poll," Dailey added. "We expect this event to be a sell-out." Those interested in attending can register at www.knoxcountyohiorepublicans.org.
