Epstein's Somerset Tavern premieres at The Woodward Opera House

Daniel Mark Epstein's Somerset Tavern will debut on Friday, May 2, at the historic Woodward Opera House, located at 107 South Main Street, Mount Vernon, OH, 43050. 

Tickets are available for purchase, with prices set at $20 for the Main Floor and $15 for the Balcony.

The performance schedule includes six showings across two weekends. The premiere will take place on Friday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m., followed by additional evening performances on Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m., and a matinee on Sunday, May 4, at 2:00 p.m. The second weekend features evening performances on Friday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m., concluding with another matinee on Sunday, May 11, at 2:00 p.m.

The story of Somerset Tavern unfolds in colonial America, a time before dedicated theaters or courthouses existed.

Epstein, the playwright behind Somerset Tavern, is celebrated for his lyrical prose and compelling storytelling. His works often explore historical settings and delve into complex moral and artistic dilemmas. He is also offering in-class sessions to discuss playwriting.
