Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. has announced it will host the Senior Spring Extravaganza on Wednesday, May 21st. The announcement was made in a press release dated April 25, 2025.
According to the agency, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Ontario Center (formerly Richland Mall) in Ontario, Ohio. This free event celebrates Older Americans Month with entertainment, lunch, refreshments, and a resource fair. Guests can also enjoy a classic car show and entertainment by Randy Velez, with door prizes and bingo games available throughout the event. It is supported by several sponsors, including ES Consulting, Richland Public Health, and Mechanics Bank.
The agency states that this year’s theme, "Flipping the Script on Aging," draws inspiration from Old Hollywood’s Golden Era, offering attendees a glamorous and nostalgic celebration of older adults. The event provides an opportunity to highlight the contributions and vibrancy of older Americans in the community while raising awareness about elder abuse and neglect.
Registration is not required for attendance, and car show slots are still available. Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are offered for businesses wishing to support the celebration of older adults. More details about the agenda will be provided in the coming weeks.
