MVNU recognizes faculty and staff at Excellence in the Call awards reception

Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) announced that faculty and staff were recognized for their service and achievements during the Excellence in the Call awards reception held on April 24 in Foster Hall. The announcement was made in a press release on April 25, 2025.

On April 24, faculty and staff at MVNU gathered in Foster Hall for the quarterly Excellence in the Call awards reception, which highlights exceptional contributions to the university community. Anita Beal, assistant to the registrar, and Trinia Huddleston, assistant director of student engagement, were honored for their commitment to MVNU’s mission and values. Selected through peer nominations, awardees are recognized for leadership, innovation, collaboration, and service that goes beyond regular responsibilities. The award, funded by faculty and staff donors, includes a certificate, $500, and formal recognition during the reception. Executive Vice President Dr. Colleen Derr and President Dr. Carson Castleman were present for the ceremony.

Founded in 1968 as a Christian liberal arts college in central Ohio affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene, MVNU is grounded in Wesleyan-Arminian theology.
