Seneca Lake Park is set to unveil new recreational facilities at its swim beach area. The grand opening, scheduled for Friday, May 23 at 1:00 p.m., will feature a Splash Pad, Storybook Trail, and an activity zone aimed at enhancing family fun and community engagement. Attendees can expect a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a ranger-led Storybook Trail walk, and a pickleball demonstration. Additionally, the first 100 attendees will receive free books, courtesy of the Guernsey County Library Bookmobile.
The following day, Tappan Lake Park will celebrate the opening of its Bike Pump Track and activity zone near the Welcome Center. This event is planned for Saturday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m. The new facilities are designed to promote outdoor recreation and family-friendly biking activities. Highlights include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, pump track demonstration, bike helmet giveaway with a safety talk, and another pickleball demonstration.
Both events are organized by MWCD officials and will be attended by park staff, community leaders, campers, boaters, and local residents. Participants can also sign up for the OuterSpatial Trails App and enter a raffle during these celebrations.
