Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) has announced its continued support for Faith Days at Huntington Park, a series of events that blend baseball, faith, and community with the Columbus Clippers. This announcement was made in a press release on April 22, 2025.
According to the university's announcement, the 2025 Faith Day schedule at Huntington Park will feature ceremonial first pitches by university representatives. The series begins on May 23 with Alumni Night against the Iowa Cubs, featuring longtime softball coach Jeana Howald. On June 6, Traditional Admissions Night will feature Rev. Rob Stanley, Vice President of Enrollment Management, throwing the first pitch in a game against the Toledo Mudhens. On July 9, Graduate and Professional Studies Night will include a first pitch thrown by a GPS alum selected by vote during a game against the Louisville Bats.
The series continues on August 8 with Church Relations Night against the Gwinnett Stripers. Rev. Dave Mills, Vice President of Spiritual Life and Church Relations, will participate in the first pitch. The final event, Student Life Night, is scheduled for September 19 against the Omaha Storm Chasers and will include a national anthem performance by the Collegians and a first pitch by Dr. Matt Spraker, Vice President of Student Life.
Group tickets are available at discounted prices: $8 for reserved seating in Sections 1–3 or 21–25 and $6 for bleacher seating in Sections 27–31.
