While in central Ohio, it may seem like consistently warm weather is still a long ways away, but spring is in full bloom at Timbuk Farms. Not far away from Utica is a quaint Christmas tree farm, and when the farm is not selling Christmas cheer, they are showcasing and selling tulips and daffodils in their third annual “Tulip Festival.”

Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $12 a person (kids under 2 get in for free), along with fresh lemonade for a treat. A ticket gets not only a gorgeous stroll through the flowers, but photo ops are also offered, backdrops ranging from a pink tractor to a mini camper to an old convertible and many more.

In addition to the flowers, there is a field containing baby goats, a slide, a jumping pad, and more opportunities for fun.

The flowers are not just for viewing, as they can be plucked and purchased for a dollar a stem. With many different colors and types, a gorgeous spring bouquet can be crafted to one’s own preferences.

If going out and plucking flowers out of the ground doesn't sound appealing, the greenhouse is also open with a variety of pre-plucked and potted plants, along with other souvenirs.

The farm is located at 2030 Timbuk Road in Granville, and is just over fifteen minutes from the town of Utica. The festival is open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Dogs are welcome and it is encouraged to bring your whole family, including kids for a fun family spring outing.
