The Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest is set to return from May 16 to 18, 2025, offering a range of activities for attendees. The event will feature a Tri-County Weekend Treasure Hunt, an expanded Pirate Market, and various family-friendly festivities.

"The Pirate Market, anchored in Buckeye Lake, Licking County, serves as the central hub," according to the organizers. However, the weekend's events will extend beyond this location. Participants can explore areas such as Buckeye Lake State Park and nearby towns including Thornport and Fairfield Beach in Perry County.

Admission to the Pirate Market is free. Organizers invite everyone to "Come for the Treasures - Stay for the Fun!" This year's festival involves local businesses and artists from the Buckeye Lake area. It aims to provide early spring business revenue for the region.

New features for 2025 include extended festivities over three days and an expanded market with over 100 booths at two locations. The treasure hunt has also been enhanced with 40 hidden chests.

Port Royal at the Harbor Community Center will serve as the festival headquarters. It will host activities and feature attractions like the Northern Exposure Landship.

The Pirate Market will operate across two locations: Port Royal Market at the Harbor Community Center and North Shore Market across the street. Various food and drink vendors will be present.

Special Treasure Hunt Maps will guide participants through land and sea adventures. These maps are available at Port Royal and participating businesses while supplies last.

Numerous local businesses are hosting special events during the festival weekend. Entertainment on Saturday includes performances by The Lost Boys, Distorted Silence, and Rock House.

The Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest is produced by Buckeye Events in Hebron, Ohio, with sponsorship from Buckeye Lake Boater Training. A portion of proceeds benefits the non-profit Harbor Community Center.
