WNZR 90.9 FM, a ministry of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, is preparing for its annual fundraising campaign, Lifeline 2025, scheduled from March 26 to March 31. The station aims to raise $75,000 during this period.
The theme for this year's campaign is "Made For These Days," inspired by Jeremy Camp's song "These Days." The theme verse is Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago." This message emphasizes that despite constant changes in life, individuals are where they are meant to be according to God's plan.
Marcy Rinehart, WNZR Station Manager and co-host of The Morning Thing, said, "In August 2024, we prayerfully chose our Lifeline 2025 theme, trusting that God was already at work. We believed then, and know now, that His plan is woven into the powerful words of Jeremy Camp’s song."
Joe Rinehart, MVNU’s Director of Broadcasting and co-host of WNZR’s Afternoon Drive, added his perspective: "I wholeheartedly believe in Jeremy Camp’s message – we were Made For These Days! Life hits us in many ways... This song reminds us that God has a plan for us."
The station offers appreciation gifts for donations at various levels. Donors receive a Lifeline 2025 refrigerator magnet with additional gifts based on their contribution amount. Special giving opportunities include the Lifeline Challenge and Matching Challenge Day.
Abby Almodovar and Josiah Pletcher, students at MVNU majoring in Communication and Media, shared their thoughts on the theme. Almodovar said it provides comfort and encouragement to use her gifts intentionally. Pletcher emphasized using skills to spread love.
