The Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. Foundation has announced the availability of scholarship funds for local community members seeking educational and career advancement opportunities. The application period will be open from March 6 to April 16, 2025.

Lisa Baker, Vice President of Communications for Licking/Knox Goodwill, encourages all interested individuals to apply. “These scholarships provide a unique opportunity for individuals to pursue education and training without the burden of financial strain,” Baker said. “We are committed to helping our community members succeed in their careers and improve their lives.”

Founded in 2013, the Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. Foundation was created to enhance the mission of Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, a nonprofit organization committed to providing job training and employment services to individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment. The foundation’s scholarships support this mission by offering financial assistance to individuals who wish to pursue education or specialized training in various fields.

Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships. These funds help individuals seeking professional certifications, skilled trades training, and college degrees. The scholarships are available for tuition at trade schools, professional certification programs, and traditional college degrees, ensuring that recipients have access to a wide range of educational opportunities.

The scholarships are an important part of the foundation’s commitment to reducing financial barriers and increasing access to education and training. Many past recipients have successfully entered the workforce in fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, business administration, and information technology, among others. By supporting education, the foundation helps individuals achieve greater economic stability, ultimately benefiting the community as a whole.
