Mount Vernon Public Library invites community members of all ages to join the exciting kickoff of the 2025 NEA Big Read.
This year’s program features Interior Chinatown, a novel by Charles Yu. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, located at 201 N. Mulberry St., Mount Vernon.
The festivities include an enchanting performance by the Jingwei Lion Dance. To top off the excitement, indulge in a variety of delectable moon cakes and other desserts expertly crafted by the talented Chef Nav.
The kickoff marks just the beginning of eight weeks of enriching library programs inspired by Interior Chinatown. These programs are brought to you by a wonderful collaboration with The Annex, The Gund, The Brown Family Environmental Center, Mount Vernon Arts Consortium, and Kenyon College Office for Community Partnerships.
