The Knox County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Kenyon College will host an electronic recycling day. The event is scheduled to take place at the Gambier Community Center on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM EST.
According to the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, the electronic recycling event is supported by Knox County Litter Prevention and Recycling and the Delaware, Knox, Marion, and Morrow Joint Solid Waste District. It aims to divert electronic waste from regional landfills while ensuring recyclable components of devices are reused. The public is invited to participate at the Gambier Community Center, located at 115 Meadow Lane between the center and the dog park. The event accepts all household electronics for free, with a $20 charge for televisions and a $5 charge for computer monitors.
The Delaware, Knox, Marion, Morrow (DKMM) Solid Waste District was formed in 1989 as a political subdivision of Ohio serving a population of 336,463.
