The East Knox Bulldogs earned a hard-fought 58-51 victory over the Fredericktown Freddies in girls basketball action on December 6th.
East Knox dominated the rebounding battle, finishing with 32 boards to Fredericktown 26. The Bulldogs also capitalized on the Freddies’ 23 turnovers, compared to 16 turnovers committed by East Knox.
Ella Divan led the Bulldogs with a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, while also contributing 5 steals. Ava Faucett added 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals, and Isabelle Bostic chipped in with 2 points, 7 rebounds, and a team-high 5 assists.
Fredericktown kept the game competitive but struggled with ball control, as turnovers allowed East Knox to maintain a lead throughout the second half. Despite the loss, the Freddies’ defense and fast breaks kept the contest within reach.
With the win, East Knox continues to build momentum for the rest of the season, while Fredericktown looks to regroup as they prepare for their next game.
