The Renaissance Performing Arts Center in Mansfield will feature several events and performances throughout the holiday season. In the next month, here are the musical and theatrical events available to community members. 

The Producers play will run from November 9 through November 17. 

A Mel Brooks comedy, The Producers is a Broadway story that follows a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant who hatch a plan to create a flop and defraud their backers. But things go awry when their show becomes an unexpected success. With outrageous humor, memorable characters, and a hilarious script co-written by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, The Producers is a high-energy musical that’s perfect for the season. Directed by Michael Thomas with musical direction by Kelly Knowlton.

The Mansfield Symphony Youth Strings will host a Fall Concert on Sunday, November 17 at 3:30 p.m. in the Lexington High School Auditorium.

The Mansfield Symphony Youth Strings includes talented high school musicians from a 12-county region. Under the direction of Alora Eyerly, the orchestra will perform a blend of classical and contemporary works in their season debut, showcasing the skill and dedication of North Central Ohio’s young musicians.

Richland Academy of the Arts will perform The Nutcracker ballet on Saturday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. and on  Sunday, December 8 at 2:30 p.m.

The Nutcracker ballet follows Clara on her magical journey through the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets, featuring the Sugar Plum Fairy and captivating dances set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score. Directed and choreographed by Sarah Horrigan-Ramos and Marden Ramos.

The Mansfield Symphony orchestra will perform their Holiday Pops concert on Saturday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m.

The Mansfield Symphony Orchestra and Chorus kick off the holiday season with a festive concert featuring both classic carols and contemporary holiday favorites. Directed by Octavio Más-Arocas, this family-friendly event is a beloved tradition, bringing holiday cheer through the music of over 55 talented musicians from Mansfield and the surrounding area.
