Community members who wish to participate in the 56th annual presentation of Handel's "Messiah" by Mount Vernon Nazarene University's Choral Union will begin rehearsing on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Returning participants do not need to audition.
According to an MVNU news release, the presentation will be on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. Interested singers should contact Robert Tocheff by email at Bob.tocheff@mvnu.edu or by phone at 740-397-9000, ext. 3005. Rehearsal times are scheduled for 4:40-5:40 p.m. on Wednesdays in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Fine Arts Center on the MVNU campus. Regular attendance at rehearsals is expected.
Singers will need to provide a score, according to the MVNU news release. The preferred edition is G.Schirmer.
