The Summer Front Porch Concert Series returns to the East High Street neighborhood on July 19, following a successful June event. The musical street fair will take place on the front porches of historic homes from 6 to 9 p.m.
According to the organizers' website, Nellie Six, the July theme will be Hometown Statuesque. Organizers are seeking actors, artists, or other creative individuals to participate as human statues. "Anyone who can stand perfectly still for several minutes at a time can join the High Street hometown sculptures," states the website.
Performers on the feature porches include Side Effects and Chestnut Ridge at 801 E. High Street. Project Roundtable and Oolong Gurus will perform at 601 E. High Street, while Fat Tuesday is scheduled for 503 E. High Street.
