Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) has announced a partnership with the Columbus Clippers for monthly Faith Days through the 2024 season.
"Mount Vernon Nazarene University is thrilled to partner with the Columbus Clippers in sponsoring Faith Nights at Huntington Park. This collaboration embodies our shared commitment to fostering community, sharing our faith, and embracing the spirit of unity through the power of faith and sports," said MVNU President Carson Castleman in a press release from the university.
According to a press release from the university, special ticket prices will include reserved seats in Section 1-3, and 21-25, for $8. Seats in bleacher sections 27-31 will cost $6. Members of the MVNU community, including churches, friends, and family, are invited to take advantage of these special ticket prices.
Two special nights have been scheduled: an MVNU Alumni Night on June 14 and a Student Night on Sept. 11. According to another press release from the university, guests at the Alumni Night will hear MVNU news, receive a small gift from the alumni office staff, and get an opportunity to reconnect with old friends. Castleman is set to throw out the first pitch for this game against the Iowa Cubs. More information about Student Night will be announced this summer.
Five Faith Days have been scheduled by the Clippers and MVNU according to another press release from the university. The schedule begins at 6:35 p.m. on May 29 when the Clippers play against Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. The Iowa Cubs will visit Columbus on June 14 for a game starting at 7:05 p.m., followed by a match against Memphis Redbirds on July 26 at 7:05 p.m.. On August 23rd at 7:05 p.m., Indianapolis Indians will play against Clippers while St.Paul Saints are scheduled as visitors for final Faith Days baseball game starting at 6:15 p.m.
The Columbus Clippers play at the award-winning Huntington Park in downtown Columbus, Ohio, located at 330 Huntington Park Lane, according to the university press release.
