The "Align -- Senior Art Exhibit" recently commenced at Mount Vernon Nazarene University's Schnormeier Gallery, showcasing the works of seven senior students.

According to a press release from Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU), the seven seniors whose works are on display include Emma Brown, Anna Dudgeon, Lexi Gray, Andrea Hoagland, Rachel Root, Jessica Rummel, and Macy Varner.

In addition to the exhibit, the Schnormeier Gallery will host Gallery Talks at 5 p.m. on April 11 and 12, as stated in the MVNU press release. A reception is set to follow on both nights from 6 to 8 p.m.

The group exhibition "Align" addresses multiple approaches to the creative process. According to the MVNU press release, these seven seniors explored a variety of mediums such as painting, mixed media, sculpture, drawing, installation, and printmaking. Their collective works symbolize personal growth through artistic expression and represent the culmination of coursework completed by graduating seniors in their final year in the MVNU Art program.

The Schnormeier Gallery is located at 221 S. Main St. in Mount Vernon, situated on the first floor of MVNU's Buchwald Center. As per the MVNU press release, its operating hours are Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. For more information about the exhibit or gallery operations, interested parties can contact artgallery@mvnu.edu.
