Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) has established a route to graduation for students from Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. This comes after the college announced its impending closure at the end of the spring semester.

Johnna Vanover, vice president for Enrollment and Marketing at MVNU, expressed sympathy for the affected students. "We are saddened to hear of the upcoming closure of Notre Dame College. We know this is disheartening news and will leave many students looking for a new home next year. We are here to help these students and their families as they navigate the road ahead," she said, according to an MVNU press release.

According to the same press release, MVNU will offer a seamless transition for students in good standing by transferring all their credits. This arrangement will facilitate a quick path to graduation in either the same or a comparable major.

The press release also mentioned that each student's current financial package would be reviewed. The aim is to develop a similar cost package while providing academic advising and support during the transition period.

According to MVNU's policy outlined in their press release, transfer students typically need to complete at least 30 credit hours at MVNU to earn a degree. However, this residency requirement will be waived for Notre Dame students who require fewer hours, enabling them to graduate on time without incurring additional costs.

MVNU has previously welcomed students from other institutions facing similar situations such as Ohio Valley University, Urbana University, and Cincinnati Christian University, according to their press release.

For Notre Dame College students interested in transferring, they can submit their transcripts to registrar@mvnu.edu for evaluation as part of initiating the process. They can apply free of charge at http://mvnu.edu/apply-transfer using the code NOTREDAME as per instructions in the MVNU press release.
