The Mount Vernon City Council was set to endorse Mayor Matt Starr's decision to reappoint Sibley Poland to the Historical Review Commission. If approved, her new term would commence on Jan. 24.
According to the agenda for the Mount Vernon City Council meeting on Jan. 8, this reappointment was proposed for a one-year term and would conclude on Jan. 24, 2025.
As per her LinkedIn account, Poland is currently employed as a Realtor at Red 1 Realty in Mount Vernon. She has been practicing this profession in Knox County since 2004. Her areas of expertise encompass Apple Valley Lake, Mount Vernon, Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown, Gambier, Howard, the Kenyon College and Mount Vernon Nazarene University campus areas, along with their surrounding locales.
Poland's professional commitments extend beyond her city panel duties. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is also an active member of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce. She held the position of president of the Knox County Board of Realtors for two terms. Poland holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
