Dirk Hartman, 65, of Fredericktown passed away on August 16, 2023, surrounded by his family and friends at his home. He was born on March 23, 1958, to George and Eileen (Kinsy) Hartman in Mount Vernon, OH.
Dirk was currently employed by Ariel Corporation and was very passionate about his job and his work family. Dirk was a proud US Army Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent his time fishing, gardening, having bonfires and cookouts. Dirk enjoyed watching baseball, football and Nascar. Above all else, Dirk enjoyed time spent with his family and beloved pets. Dirk was always good for a laugh. His jokes and his love for music got him through the hard times. You knew that Dirk loved you if he gave you a nickname.
Dirk is survived by his wife Dot (Dailey) Hartman who he married on July 2, 1993; his mother Eileen Hartman of Mount Vernon, OH; his children David (Amy) Hartman of Mount Vernon, OH, Douglas (Melissa) Hartman of Mount Vernon, OH, Sandy (George) Hess of Fredericktown, OH, Kimberly (Ruben) Bolton of Sunbury, OH; grandchildren Halie Hartman, Dylan Hartman, Kayden Packard Hartman, Keagan Hartman, Kyson Hartman Kaleb Hess, Kelci Hess and Macie Davis; Brothers Kirby (Pam) Hartman of Massilon, OH, Jerry (Kim) Hartman of Mansfield, OH; brothers-in-law Cecil Dailey of Fredericktown, Ronnie Dailey of Marengo, OH, Johnnie (Chris) Dailey of Mt. Gilead, OH and all of his beloved pets.
Dirk was be greeted in Heaven by his father George Hartman and his beloved son Dirk Jason Hartman as well as his in-laws Bonnie and Cecil Dailey.
Memorial Contributions can be made in Dirk’s memory by going fishing.
Calling hours was be Monday, August 21, 2023, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm with a funeral service at 2:00 at the Dowds~Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Burial was followed at Maple Grove Cemetery, 6916 West State Route 95, Chesterville, OH 43019
