Obituaries: Andre Ezra Harrison | Roberts Funeral Home

Andre Ezra Harrison, 19, a senior at Ashland High School passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2023 at a friend's house in Ashland.

Andre was born September 14, 2004 in Norwalk, Ohio. He endured a difficult first seven years of life before a special aunt helped rescue him. He lived in a loving foster home for first and second grade, before his adoption. In 2014 he moved to Ashland where he became the adopted son of Jeremy and Kimberly Harrison of Ashland. His name means "brave helper" and he lived this out every day while working to overcome a painful past.

Andre was a gifted runner. He competed for his first two years of high school at Mansfield Christian, where he set a freshman school record for Cross Country and was conference champion in both Cross Country and Track. He was selected as team MVP for Cross Country his freshman, sophomore, and co-MVP his junior year at Ashland High School. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his time at McDonald's where he worked an early morning shift before school.

He is survived by his parents, Jeremy and Kimberly {Crawford} Harrison of Ashland, two grandfathers, Paul Harrison of Tiffin, and John Crawford of Alliance. He was a nephew to Aaron & Kelly (Pawlowski) Harrison of Medina, Chris & Kaylene (Harrison) Kiefer of Tiffin, and Kevin Crawford and Greg Ogrodowski of Columbus, all survive. He is also survived by four cousins, Mathis & Ryland Kiefer, and Lincoln & Lucy Harrison.

Andre was preceded in death by his grandmothers Krista (Forry) Harrison of Fostoria and Marie (Rhome) Crawford of Salem.

Friends may call Tuesday October 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at. Park Street Brethren Church. Celebration of Life services was followed at 4 p.m. at the church with Dr. John Shultz officiating. Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland is assisting with arrangements. Private family burial was be at Ashland Cemetery.
