CENTERBURG— The Jacque Cordle Children’s Fund (JCCF) food pantry received a $3,000 grant to assist in buying food for its clients this Summer.

The Food For The Hungry organization provides funding to nonprofit 501(c) (3) organizations in Knox County who feed the hungry.

Two of the Fund's senior program clients received family client packages of food to assist them in feeding their grandchildren. They were the care providers for the children during school break. These clients received extra food that kids would enjoy and paper goods to assist in providing meals.

The FFTH organization works to raise funds throughout the year. The organization’s main fundraiser event in November is rung county wide and raises food and money. They provide items and money to organizations like ours throughout the year. We encourage all area residents, organizations, and businesses to support their events.

"Jacque’s Food Pantry was blessed to receive one of the $3,000 grants offered under their summer program. The Pantry appreciates their support as we work together to see there are “no empty tummies” in our LSD. People should never experience what it is like to be hungry and have no food available," said John Losego, who runs grants and marketing for JCCF

If you need food and live in the Centerburg LSD, please call (740) 625-1199 for your private appointment to pick up a 7-day or 14-day supply of packaged food for your family.

The Food Pantry is located off Sugar Alley at 12 W Main Street, Centerburg. We encourage you to obtain food from both the ISS Food Pantry and Jacque’s Kids Pantry monthly to meet your family’s food needs.
