Cecille A. Huff, age 86, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Country Club Retirement Campus surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 9, 1937, in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Cecil and Lucille (Campbell) Hendrix.
Cecille loved her Lord and Savior and her family. As a member of Bethel Friends Evangelical Church in Poland, Ohio, she served in the position of Treasurer, sang in the choir, and enjoyed working on the kitchen committee.
Christmas was her favorite holiday, and we will always treasure the abundant food and happy times she generously hosted for her family over the years.
Cecille is survived by her daughters, Sandy (Lee) Burd and Cheryl Wear; grandchildren, Kara (Matt) Kauffman, Nathan (Leah) Burd; great-grandchildren, Ward Daniel Hicks, and Torvi Noel Kauffman; a brother, Dennis (Jill) Hendrix, and a sister, Linda (Charles) Nightingale.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Alan R. Huff in 2013, along with two brothers, David Hendrix, and Jeffry Hendrix.
The family is planning a private celebration of life service at a later date.
