LOUDONVILLE – Beatrice Ann Blubaugh, 79, passed away on Thursday, July 6, at Winchester Terrace in Mansfield.
Bea was born in Danville on April 30, 1944. She was the daughter of Dorothy Mary (Blanchard) and Edward Cosmas Blubaugh. She was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville.
She was a 1962 Graduate of Danville High School and a longtime member of St. Luke in Danville, and more recently, St. Peter's Church in Loudonville, where she was very active in the Eucharistic Ministry and many church activities. Bea had worked as a dental assistant, at the former Renee's Restaurant in Danville and at Kenyon College, but devoted much of her life returning home to raise three of her brothers following her mother's death. She enjoyed participating in local activities, but especially loved playing cards, with Euchre being her favorite game.
She is survived by her sister, Cora (Francis) Durbin of Howard; four brothers; Joe (Gerly) of St. Louis, Bill (Karen) of Windsor, Colorado, Ben (Sharon) of Loudonville, and Dave (Della) Blubaugh of Lima; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters; Rebecca Marie Blubaugh and Lucy Pauline Ryan; brother, Chuck Blubaugh, and nephews; Craig Blubaugh and Paul Ryan.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Luke Church on Friday, July 21, at 11 a.m. with Father Homer Blubaugh officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.
