MOUNT VERNON – Beverly A. Sobers, 65, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Monday evening, June 5, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on Oct. 30, 1957, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to the late Herman Gene and Bertha (Nichols) Lemley.

For many years, Bev babysat and cared about every child that came into her home as if they were her own. This was her true passion. She then went on to retire from Sanoh in Mount Vernon. She attended Brandon Baptist Church. Bev enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her children, granddaughter and family. The most important moment in Bev’s life was finding comfort and peace in her Lord and Savior.

Bev is survived by her children, Kimberly L. Sobers of Mount Vernon and Chad R. Sobers of Mount Vernon; granddaughter, Mackenzie Rine of Mount Vernon; her twin sister, Kim Lemley of Mount Vernon; brothers, Mike Lemley of Mount Gilead and Roger Lemley of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by a brother John Lemley, and sisters-in-law Judy Lemley and Janice Lemley.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 9, at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Flowers Chapel, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
