MOUNT VERNON – As the largest group of health care professionals in the U.S., nurses provide care across all areas of the healthcare systems and care settings.

Providing care to patients day in and day out helps reflect the true value of nursing. They know firsthand what their patients need to be safe and comfortable and how to improve their quality of care while showing compassion and professionalism. The nursing mission at Knox Community Hospital is to provide the community with excellent, safe, individualized patient care, delivered by highly skilled nursing professionals. This is something KCH sees its nursing staff continuously striving to achieve.

“We are so very proud of our nurses," Director of Primary and Specialty Care Amber Jordan said. "It’s been a crazy time in health care, and they’ve done a great job taking care of patients, taking care of each other and pitching in to help other departments when needed. We appreciate our nurses so much, all year long.”

Knox Community Hospital wants to thank all its nurses for making a difference and positively impacting the community. Their passion for their patients is appreciated during Nurses Month and daily.

“Thank you for taking pride in your profession by providing a legacy of excellence and patient advocacy. Your healing hearts and hands inspire us,” Chief Nursing Officer Carol Emery said. "Please join KCH in thanking all nurses for their service and dedication."
