ASHLAND – The Mohican Area Community Fund has awarded Hospice of North Central Ohio a $1,000 grant through MAFC’s annual campaign to support local charities and nonprofit organizations that serve the Greater Mohican community.

The grant will support HNCO’s Camp Hope children’s bereavement camp, held annually in June at Pleasant Hill campgrounds. HNCO created Camp Hope in 1996 to address a growing need to provide grieving children with a safe and supportive environment to express their feelings and share their stories. Since its inception, Camp Hope has served the needs of over 1,000 grieving children who have experienced a loss through death.
