MOUNT VERNON – Anna Mae “Ann” Conroy, 91, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at her home.
She was born on Oct. 13, 1931, in Orient, Ohio and was the daughter of the late John Otto and Gladys (Willoughby) Downs.
Ann was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Mount Vernon Country Club.
She is survived by her niece, Pam (Kevin) Hill, sister-in-law, June Downs; and many extended family and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Belden; second husband, John P. Conroy; three brothers, John William Downs, Paul Edwin Downs, Robert Dale Downs; and a sister, Mary Lou Schaffner.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3, at noon at Faith Lutheran Church, 170 Mansfield Ave. in Mount Vernon. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
