MOUNT VERNON – Charlotte S. “Char” Duffield, 83, of Mount Vernon, passed away at her residence on Friday, March 24, 2023.
She was born on Nov. 28, 1939, in Clarksville, Pennsylvania to the late Peter and Juanita (Statskus) Slovinsky.
Char was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Natalie (Gary) Welker of Mount Vernon; a son, Thomas A. Duffield of Mount Vernon; sister, Diana (Phillip) Slivinska of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; grandson, Zachary (Arilyn) Welker; and a great-grandson, Ethan Welker.
Char was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Duffield; son, Scott W. Duffield; grandson, Luke Sky Welker; sister, Juanita Carlton; and a brother, Thomas P. Slovinsky.
A memorial Mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father P.J. Brandimarti officiating. Friends had the privilege of calling one hour prior to services at the church.
Inurnment was at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
The Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel handled the services for the Duffield family.
