17 found guilty
MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found 17 people guilty after hearings were held in Mount Vernon Municipal Court on Feb. 1.
Sarah Christine, 36, of Loudonville, expired plates, $25 fine.
James Sugrue, 41, of Mount Vernon, speeding, $75 fine and three days in jail.
Andrew Rodhe, 25, of Millersburg, speeding, $50 fine.
Joshua Preece, 21 of Fredericktown, pled guilty to driving under suspension and speeding. The court sentenced him to pay a $220 fine for the DUS and a $35 fine for speeding.
Aron Conkle, 35 of Mount Vernon, pled guilty to driving under suspension. The court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine and serve three days in jail.
Assistant Law Director Steven Thomas Potts represented the state of Ohio and the city of Mount Vernon in the above cases.
Five found guilty
MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found five people guilty after hearings were held in Mount Vernon Municipal Court on Feb. 6.
Nathan Parke, 27, of Mount Vernon, theft, pay court costs and $140 in restitution, 180 days in jail with 120 days suspended, two years probation and must comply with all terms and conditions of probation.
Cade Remy, 23, of Columbus, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, $500 fine, 180 days in jail with 177 suspended, one year probation and must attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program and a suspended license for one year.
Ashton Spurgeon, 23, of Mount Vernon, reckless operation, $150 fine.
Clinton Durbin, 32, of Fredericktown, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, $700 fine, pay restitution in the amount of $2,413.13, 180 days in jail with 160 days suspended, two years probation and a suspended license for two years.
Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney represented the city of Mount Vernon and the state of Ohio in the above cases; with the exception of the Durbin case, which was represented by Law Director Rob Broeren.
13 found guilty, four sentenced
MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found 16 people guilty and sentenced one person after arraignments and hearings were held in Mount Vernon Municipal Court on Feb. 7.
Sarah Christine, 36, of Loudonville, aggravated trespass, 21 days in jail with credit for time served.
Ryan Aspinall, 38, of Mount Vernon, domestic violence, 90 days in jail with 70 days suspended, two years probation and must complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.
Ashley Ferrell, of Mount Vernon, obstructing official business, pay court costs.
Dale Rayburn, 57, of Mount Vernon, failure to confine a dog, $200 fine, two days in jail with two days suspended pending a sentence review hearing on June 6.
David Shepherd, 48, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of failure to confine his dogs. The court sentenced him to pay a $15 fine for the first charge and a $15 fine for the second charge.
Amy Williams, 52, of Mount Vernon, driving without an operator’s license, $200 fine.
Dalton Hurst, 21, of McConnelsville, diving under an FRA suspension, $250 fine.
Jamie Seidler, 28 of Mansfield, driving under an FRA suspension, $250 fine.
Shane Johnson, 47, of Marion, speeding in a school zone, $75 fine.
Danielle Ratliff, 40, of Mount Vernon, speeding in a school zone, $50 fine.
Nikki Morris, 19, of Fredericktown, fictitious plates, $25 fine; and a loud muffler, $15 fine.
Dakota Eckert, 24, of Mount Vernon, expired plates, $25 fine.
Dominic McDonald, 27, of Columbus, driving under a license forfeiture suspension, $200 fine.
Susan McNichols, 64, of Mount Vernon, speeding in a school zone, $75 fine.
John Witzky, 69, of Howard, speeding in a school zone, $125 fine.
Lakin Johnston, 26, of Mount Vernon, speeding, $100 fine.
Mary Carter, 54, of Mount Vernon, improperly backing into a roadway, $35 fine.
