TIVERTON – The Tiverton Community Institute will be held March 1-2 at the Tiverton Center, at the intersection of State Route 206 and County Road 20 in Coshocton County.
The first session of the day, Wednesday, begins at 10:15 a.m. and will feature Gail Piper's presentation "Spotted Lanternfly" and Sam Bennett's "When Coal was King in Coshocton County." After a noon covered dish meal, the 1 p.m. session will include Tammi Rogers presenting "City & County Park District" and Ken Smailes presenting "Bridges." Wednesday's closing session at 7 p.m. will feature music from the River View Chorus, Dick McCune presenting "Reptiles" and poster awards.
Thursday will open at the same time. The first session kicking the day off is Sheriff Jim Crawford presenting information on scams as well as "Airships that landed in Cavallo" presented by Dave Snyder. After lunch, another covered dish meal at noon, the 1 p.m. session will have both Alice Hoover presenting living history as Phoebe Medberry and "Good Health" presented by Bill Standwitz.
Kevin Oliver will perform music at the 7 p.m. session on Thursday, after the soup supper is served from 4-6 p.m. Local talent will perform after dinner, also.
