KNOX COUNTY – Austin Lee Castle, 25, of Knox County passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023. He was born on Aug. 21, 1997, to Butch Castle and Brandi Porter in Westerville.
Austin joined JRTC while in high school with the intention to follow in his father’s and great-grandfather’s footsteps of military service by joining the Marine Corps. Austin was a kindhearted man who loved to help anyone in need. As a kid, he loved spending time at Rocky Fork Lake with Grandpa Frank and Grandma Bev. He was a woodworker by trade and known for his meticulous attention to detail.
He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians.
Austin was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Francis and Beverly Healy, and grandmothers Linda Withem and Kimia Pillow. Austin is survived by his parents, Colin and Jacqueline Pack; brothers Joey McVay and Ethan Adkins; grandparents Charles Pillow, Scott and Kim Davis, Jim and Teresa Pack, Tom and Anita Porter; an aunt Jacquelin Withem; uncles Seth Pack and Ty Davis; great uncles Brian (Pam) Healy and Ben (Roseann) Healy; cousins Corbin Davis and Justin and Kollin Riggs; and will be missed by many other extended family and friends.
