Pamela Elaine Carter, 76, passed away on Dec. 6 at The Laurels of Mount Vernon, where she was a resident.
Carter was born on Oct. 27, 1946, to the late Ross F. and Alice Loretta (Schaub) Carter. She was a 1964 graduate of Danville High School. She began working at the former United Telephone Co. in Mount Vernon soon after graduation. She later worked at the Mansfield office, where she was a supervisor until her retirement. She then worked for Knox Area Transit as a dispatcher. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, and traveling in her younger years.
She is survived by a sister, Patricia (Richard) Frazee of Howard; two nieces, Beth Morrow of Grove City, and Mauricha Marcussen of New Albany; a nephew, Ross (Emily) Carter of Fredericktown; and several great-nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Carter; and a nephew, Richie M. Frazee, in addition to her parents.
