MOUNT VERNON – Joyce L Ferguson, 82, of Zanesville, formerly of Mount Vernon, died 11 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, at The Oaks at Bethesda in Zanesville. She was born Tuesday, July 23, 1940, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Dean Franz and Mary (Robinson) Franz. She married Clyde Ferguson on Tuesday, June 28, 1959, and was Christian by faith.
Joyce was employed with the Ohio Eastern Star Home. She enjoyed shopping, crafts and her flower garden. Joyce was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
Joyce is survived by three children, Diana (Greg) Long of Mount Vernon, Darlene (Jim) Meier of Zanesville and Julie (Mark) Coulson of Zanesville; grandchildren, Eric, Justin, Amy, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Megan and Caitlin; five great-grandchildren, Ayanna, Roen, Odessa, Astrid and Julia; and one sister-in-law, Dee Franz.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ferguson, who passed away Dec. 15, 2016; one great-grandchild, Ayden Konkler; and one brother, Jerry Franz.
