MOUNT VERNON – For 30 years, Mount Vernon's Red Cross office was located on Mulberry Street, but it is now located at 812 Coshocton Ave., building 2, unit 4, behind Pak-Mail and across from Kroger.
The office was closed during COVID-19 and is now open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Due to numerous disasters around the country, including Hurricane Ian hitting Florida, Puerto Rico and South Carolina, the Red Cross is in desperate need for volunteers both to deploy and locally. It also serves the community through numerous blood drives, the Home Fires Program and other programs.
