FREDERICKTOWN – Joretta J. Auten, 91, of Fredericktown passed away on Oct. 11, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born to Charles C. and Madeline L. (Bradrick) Brokaw on July 9, 1931, in Fredericktown, OH.

Joretta was a former member of the Ankenytown Grace Brethren Church.

She is survived by her children Steve (Janice M.) Auten of Fredericktown, OH, and Christine Farmer of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Max (Parthenia) Brokaw; and sisters Delia Reynolds and Deanna Ridgway.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Auten; a brother, Rex Brokaw; and a sister, Norma Gene McVay.

Calling hours will be Monday, Oct. 17, at 9-11 a.m. at Snyder Funeral Home Fredericktown Chapel, 33 East College St., Fredericktown, OH 43019. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. with graveside services following at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
