ST. LOUIS, MO – Co-authors Larry and M. T. Eley have a book signing in August for "Mifflin Drift," published by Reedy Press.
The book takes place in Mifflin, Ohio – now a real-world neighborhood of Ohio’s capital, Columbus – during the golden age of at-home television sets.
It is about eight friends in pre-Vietnam America and how they grew up – despite their best efforts not to. Based on the story of the author’s own adolescence, he and his son bring the relatable story to life in a way that won’t let the reader off the hook until it ends.
Two upcoming book signings will be free and open to the public:
• Saturday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m.: 1 p.m., at Mims & Red/Children's Books and Gifts, 63 South Main St., Utica
• Saturday, Oct. 15, 10:30 a.m.: 2 p.m., Licking County Library/Downtown Newark Branch, 101 West Main St., Newark
