CENTERBURG – Patty Joann (Hall) Schonauer, 78, of Centerburg went to her eternal home on Aug. 25, 2022, where she will see her Lord and parents. She was born Aug. 24, 1944, in Mount Vernon to the late Orlando and Dalpha (Cochran) Hall.
Patty was a 1962 graduate of Centerburg High School where she was a band member and majorette. After high school, she graduated from the Mount Vernon business school. Her secretarial training led her to various positions with insurance and telephone companies. She was an executive secretary at GTE. After the acquisition of GTE by Verizon, she became a job recruiter traveling from coast to coast, hiring employees.
Patty was an active member of the Milford Church of Christ where she served as treasurer, secretary, VBS craft leader, youth groups and singing groups. Patty loved working in the yard and mowing. She was an avid crafter going to many craft shows displaying her crafts. She loved sitting on her porch watching and talking to the birds. She enjoyed vacationing in Virginia Beach and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Patty is survived by her daughter, Diana Chambers; son-in law, Michael Chambers; and grandchildren, Ben, Frank, Falyn, Ava and Gianna Chambers; her sister Janice Bishop; and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, with a funeral service immediately following at 6 p.m. at Milford Church of Christ, 3648 Johnstown Road, Centerburg, OH 43011, with Pastor Craig Mulpas officiating.
